Printer Info
UPDATE 6/16/2020: The 4550 is no more. The 4700 is in Moore 204. There is a M479fdw in Moore 216 but that is not configured on the DNA cluster. See DNA color printer for setting it up to print directly from your laptop.
Print Queues on the DNA Cluster
FYI: The differences between the print queues color and colord is that colord will print in duplex. These are both the old, slow color printer. Similarly, colord2 prints in duplex on the new color printer, while color2 is one-sided on the new color printer.

Printer maintenance
- Please ensure that Letter size paper is in the printer at all times by default. If you need to print on a different size, restore the printer back to defaults when you're done.
- When replacing printer cartridges, put the old cartridge in the box from the new cartridge, label it TO: GRAPHICS ARTS, MS 104-6, and place it in the 1st floor outgoing mail (or on Lucinda's desk).
- As of 2013-04-30, we find that there is some damage in our HP Color Laserjet 4700:
- There are some holes in black film on back of transfer unit.
- There is lots of white dust on lower right side indicative of grinding nylon gears.
